About DIY Project Calculators
Practical material estimates, with the working shown.
Who runs the site
DIY Project Calculators is run by Taimoor Zayad.
I'm Taimoor Zayad, and I build and maintain the calculators on DIY Project Calculators.
I hold a three-year DAE in Civil Engineering from the Government College of Technology.
I have also worked for three years as a site supervisor.
Every calculator here shows its formula and the sources for its numbers, so you can check the math yourself.
Why this site exists
The site is being built to help homeowners turn project measurements into material quantities. Each calculator will show its formula, explain waste allowances and link the constants it uses to their sources.
Imperial units come first, with metric available in the calculators. No account or sign-up is required.
What an estimate can tell you
Material quantities depend on your measurements and the product you choose. Check bag yields, dimensions and density with the label or supplier before placing an order. These tools do not provide structural or engineering advice.
